Hell's Angels

Hey I'm back again and NYC is experiencing the craziest weather. During fashion week it was rainy and cloudy, but that didn't stop me and other fashionistas trotting about in our heels...lol. Now it's hot with a slight chill in the air. So what to do when it's not quite hot or not quite cool? Light weight leather is the answer. It was all over the fall runways and now you too can obtain this look on the recessionista budget while helping the homeless. Happy shopping!!

Just arrived: Purple leather high waisted shorts
Price: $50 (steal!!)

Restyled

Alexa Chung rocks. The stylish Brit manages to have beauty, brain and a sense of humor. We here at Use Your Head are also partial to her easy going, downtown style. Chung encourages mixing and and matching old and new. Here's our take on some style ideas:

For fall pair your heavy tweeds with a bright patterned blouse. Model wears our classic Karl Lagerfeld jacket over her own flower shirt.

Experiment with color. This bright and brazen shirt is great tied or loose. Styled over a classic black dress this piece adds some excitement.

Jump in Or Move!!

What is the easiest trend this season?...That's an easy one JUMPSUITS! This great little invention will keep you warm and chic all winter long. Layer it, dress it up, or lounge around the house. There is no right or wrong way!! Happy shopping!

For starters we have a stunning studded handbag by Savini Bettini. This leather pieces features Swaroski crystals on the buckle and straps.

For that perfect out-all-night leather jacket stop in and try on our crop, batwinged motorcycle jacket. I'st slouchy and stylish, and will look great sans bike.

Inspired By....

Not a lot of people know I loooove Ashley's Olsen's chic style, but I do. It's sophisticated yet downtown at the same time. A lot of fun things in the store to complete this look to a tee without breaking the bank. P.S Mary-Kate's not bad either...lol

The Cause

Hello and welcome to Use Your Head blog. This blog will be used to showcase what is going on at our new store location in the trendy Nolita area of New York City. Not only will we be showcasing the many great designer clothing and accesories donated to us, we will also show inspiring photography that motivates the store's look on fashion.

The charity resale store is the first venture of its kind from the SoHo partnership, which has been a leading community program since 1992. The proceeds of the store will benefit the SoHo partnership and its umbrella organization, the Association for Community Employment Program for the Homeless. Both organizations are committed to enabling New York City’s men and women re-enter the workforce and achieve long-term economic self-sufficiency.
