Fashion Week
New York seems a bit quieter. Yes it has been a few weeks since rolling racks were seen being frantically pushed around midtown, and there seems to be less 6 inch stilettos teetering in the garment district. But while fashion week ( month?) has ended, we still have the amazing images of the runway creations to excite ourselves for next season. Among the stand outs?
Marc Jacobs signature collection showed a vision of his classic and earlier styles. Phoebe Philo proved herself once again as creative director for Celine. It's only her second season with the brand and already she has reinvigorated the idea of stylish refinement. As always Nicholas Ghessquire, the idealist behind Balenciaga's innovative silhouettes, delivered an on point collection featuring extensively tailored jackets that we think would have made Cristobel proud.
Sadly the fashion world has lost a great visionary with the death of Alexander McQueen. We cannot begin to sum up the scope of this designer's contributions to the fashion world. He will be remembered for his daring accomplishments in the world of fashion.
That loosley sums it up. We here at Use Your Head look forward to another hectic season. who knows, there might even be some fun samples in the store.
